Reliable Recruitment Assistance
The Career Development Team (CDT) strives to provide new employment opportunities to graduates of the Los Angeles Mission's Urban Training Institute (UTI). Your prospective employees will come to you with a full report including reference checks and verified year long compliance to the Los Angeles Mission's zero tolerance standards for drug/alcohol, tobacco, violence and threat of violence.
The service of the Career Development Team is at no cost to you. We are committed to invest time in our relationship with potential employers and graduates.
It is not just about helping our students get jobs. It is about building long term, productive relationships.
Qualified, Skilled Applicants
All applicants referred by the Los Angeles Mission's UTI Career Development Department have completed hundreds of hours of hands-on vocational training to sharpen their skills and refine their employment direction. All graduates have been enrolled in the Urban Training Institute and have pursued studies in the Mission's Henry Salvatori Education Center or the Richard Riordan Education Center. Transcripts of all UTI courses are available.
UTI students prepare for employment by attending Job Readiness Seminars, learning valuable job search techniques, and utilizing our Resource Center to conduct their own job search.
Commitment To Excellence
The Urban Training Institute's Career Development Department is committed to providing you with quality recruitment assistance. It is our commitment to refer candidates with a positive, conscientious attitude and a strong work ethic.
Our graduates have demonstrated a commitment to making their futures something to embrace. They have worked hard to improve their skills, to build their character and to successfully take on new challenges. They are prepared to demonstrate their abilities and to make a contribution to the success of your company or organization. We thank the Lord for you giving us a chance to serve.
Community Enhancement
When one of our UTI graduates enters the workforce and leaves the ranks of the unemployed, we thank the Lord. A significant impact is made in our local communities and in the graduate's life.
By being a part of the workforce, our graduates become productive members of society. They become role models for their family, neighbors, and community.
For over 50 years, the Los Angeles Mission has been assisting men and women whose lives have become misdirected to get back on track. The Mission does not charge for any of its services. It does not solicit or receive any government funds. It relies on donations provided by private citizens and the business sector.
The Los Angeles Mission's Urban Training Institute offers a two year residential rehabilitation program. Our primary goals are to facilitate freedom from addiction(s) and character development. UTI has zero tolerance for drug, alcohol and tobacco use, violence and/or threat of violence.
Please call us for more information. We invite you to tour the Los Angeles Mission and personally meet our staff and students. Enclosed is a checklist. Please review and return. I will contact you to discuss how LAM/UTI can assist you with your employment opportunities.
