September 2017 Newsletter

The pathway out of homelessness is a difficult one. Darrel, who grapples with alcoholism and severe depression, tried to kill himself 12 times. He came to the Mission while on parole—the lowest point in his life. Thanks to the kindness of supporters like you, Darrel is learning what it means to be alive in Christ. Darrel is one of thousands of men, women and children struggling with homelessness in our community.

In Crossroads, you’ll learn more about the difference you’re making for Darrel, and you’ll also read about the link between mental illness and homelessness. You’ll see how the Anne Douglas Center for Women is changing and saving women’s lives … and how your prayers and donations enable us to reach out to so many people in need.

Please download our September issue of Crossroads to read about what’s happening at the Mission this month.
