Event is Preview of Upcoming "Cirque de Ethos" on July 13
Los Angeles, California --- (June 30, 2007) ---Saturday in the park on Fifth and San Julian in the Skid Row area of Los Angeles took on a festive look with the addition of a band and a special festival of art. "Essence of ETHOS," is a concert supporting a clothing and food drive for LA's homeless community.
Area residents enjoyed box lunches from the Los Angeles Mission kitchen, and had the opportunity to make a self portrait out of art materials provided on the site. The artwork was immediately displayed for all to see. Los Angeles Mission President Herb Smith welcomed the crowd and thanked Project Ethos and the volunteers that helped organize the event.
An up and coming LA band also performed. 2 Receive was previewing its work for the community prior to being featured at the "Cirque de Ethos."
Project ETHOS paired with The Los Angeles Mission as the charity of choice for "Cirque de Ethos." Saturday's event was filmed and will be aired at the July 13th show as well. "This will be our biggest and most exciting event yet," said Operation Ethos Founder and Director Heidi Luerra. "There are new additions to the show that we are all excited to execute."
"We are trying to set an example to the youth on how they can easily help those in need in their communities. We really want to inspire the youth to give prosperously," said Project Ethos Marketing Director Jason Peskin. By merging fashion, music, art and other forms of creativity into one, ETHOS creates a new form of exposure for artists in general, as well as a fresh outing for any Angeleno looking for something fun and new to do.
Previous Project ETHOS events drew crowds in the thousands along with inviting buyers and press to help expose the craft of these upcoming talents. Events also refresh the Los Angeles night scene, giving event goers an alternative and more artistic outing. "Cirque de ETHOS" will prove the Project ETHOS mission, to become the next generation of exposing artists to the industry and the public.
