In 2017, Afshin Pishevar, Esq. established a Pro Bono Legal Clinic at the Mission in dedication to his late son, Abraham H. Pishevar, II. The clinic’s goal is to empower the community with free legal advice and representation from professionals who practice law in their own neighborhood so they may be given the opportunity to improve their current life situation.

The Abraham H. Pishevar, II Pro Bono Legal Clinic is located on-site at the Los Angeles Mission. Volunteer lawyers from the Greater Los Angeles conduct intakes, identify the issues and refer the matters to the appropriate law firms and lawyers who accept the cases and practice in the area of specialty.

Last year, over 350 cases were reviewed through our clinic and the Public Defender’s office has partnered with us to provide a mobile office on-site once a month as a result of our program.
